particle help
show user profile  addgraph
I don't know if anyone can help me but i'm having some trouble with PFlow.
I've set up a cylinder that rotates and a camera placed in front of it.
What i'm trying to achieve is that the particles emit from the faces of the cylinder outwards and follow the rotation; So in the camera it will look like the particles are moving towards the camera.
I've tried googling it but theres not many answers. Does anyone have any idea where I should be looking?

please excuse the crappy-ness of this diagram!

thanks for the help. i think it's more like the 1st particle system, it looks more realistic in terms of how the wind would affect the did you do this?

I pretty much placed all the info needed in the pictures
Normal Birth
Position Object (( as default without lock ))
Rotation with speed follow
speed by surface ( (1) Parallel to surface or (2) Surface Normals )

the rest was only as reference for the trajectories. (( the spawn part ))

If it is still not clear, I can make a video but I g2g so I would make it after I come back

I'm not a complete idiot mr grotey, although my previous comment might disagree with me!
I did follow your event layout but i didn't achieve the same effect. In particular, using the parallel to surface option didn't give me what you have. It made the particles act weird and move around the inside of the cylinder rather than the outer face. And the normals are facing the right way.
