Particle flow spreading
Any one have any idea how I can get particles to generate on a rectangular plain from one corner across to the opposite corner?

you could use a greyscale map (gradient) on the plane, animated, and choose one of the greyscale options in position event, depending on where your map is in the material for plane
or a volume select and emit from selected faces (needs lots of poly's though)
sure there are other ways too

draw a seperate spline and use it as a position object.

I seem to remember a tutorial on how to have the emitter start only after another object crossed over it. I just can't find where I found that info the last time. I want to use this method, but forget how.
Any ideas out there?

use collision to trigger an event instead of bouncing.
