particle flow question-surface to volume
show user profile  Joey Parker Jr.
I have particles attached to the surface of a cylinder and I want them to pull away and float
inside the cylinder.
At the moment I have a position object set to surface, then an age test goes to the same position object set to volume.
This works but the problem is the particles pop off the surface and float instantly.
How can I get them to pull away from the surface slowly?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

It has been a while, and I don't have max here at work, but I seem to remember the 'position target' 'find target' (what a noob) operator has slow in/slow out options. If you set your target object as the cylinder (volume) it might work and give you the control you need.
