Particle Flow : Max9 sp1 : WinXP Pro :
show user profile  tom

I'm currently using ParticleFlow for the first time in a project. I am creating a character entirely out of particles...a molecule girl if you will. I have a Mesh that's skinned and am using that as the emitter.

I am using instanced geometry for the shape of the particles.

The problem I am having is that my particles are lagging behind the animated mesh by one frame.

I have them being born from -5 to -1, and my animation starts at frame 0. Frame zero is rendered fine...but when the mesh moves at frame 1 the particles don't move with it. frame 2 the particles finally move with the mesh...but a day late and dollar short!

I have the particles set to LOCK TO EMITTER, and the ANIMATED box checked...and they DO move with the mesh...just one frame late.

Does anyone have any ideas of how to fix this...or possible things to try? I'm out of ideas after tweaking different settings...

thanks, in advance,

Greetings again,

As I'm new to PF, could you be more specific as to how I can "check the integration steps in pf source/system managment..."

not sure where to find that...hehe...

Here is an image of the simple flow and related data:
