Panoramas are poor quality in Quicktime, and too small to host on Vimeo

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to use the Pano' exporter in Max with mental ray to get some panoramas of some work. When they have finished rendering (using the highest default render size) they look fine while viewing them in Max, but as soon as I export them to an AVI the quality goes through the floor. The other issue I've found is that when I try to host them on Vimeo it says the file is too small for a movie.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please? I'm sure it's not a Codec issue as it doesn't seem to give any options...

Any advice greatly received :))

Cheers,

CAD Monkey

I have never rendered to 'movie files' with MAX....I think its shit.

Render uncompressed.
The use AE or Adobe Media Compressor or such to render H.264 QT per Vimeo specs.
Then upload to Vimeo.

Thanks mate,

I'll give that a try - thought it might involve software other than Max ;D

Cheers!
