Odd T-smooth stuff going on..
show user profile  9krausec
Hey, does anyone have an idea as to why this is happening? I have all quads, and no mesh errors.. Why would Turbo Smooth be acting this way (all poly id's are the same).

Cheers

only thing that leaps out at me are 2 polys that have visible tris on them , might affect turbosmooth. Delete the polys and re-create them. might be that you have some verts that need welding there.
Freeze the vid at 18 second and you will see the polys showing tris on the left hand side.

hope this helps

Looks kinda like a smoothing group issue.

Sometimes I get random shit like this for no reason. Best delete and rebuild surrounding polys until it goes away.

Hmm that is a bit odd. Do you have any edge/crease weighting going on for those polys?

No, nothing! I just reset the Xform and collapsed it, it seems to be working better now. Thanks!

Hi, sometimes it happens there are multiple vertex on the same point, make sure there are one vertex i.e on following points, if does exist weld them.

if it doesn't work, select polygon from selection, press Ctrl + A to select all polygon then, in Polygon: Material IDs click Clear All, and then click Auto Smooth, some times smoothing of polygon does not work properly.

When turbosmooth doesnt smooth it how it should, 99% of the time its just fixed by converting to e-mesh then back to e-poly.
