make one object conform to another like cloth
show user profile  maxhunter1964
I have this torpedo and I need to apply celophane to the nose cone. Tried using cloth but it wont conform exactly the way celophane would. Its actual household celophane that starts as a rectangular sheet and is applied to the nose almost like a condom...

thanks in advance

you could try the conform spacewarp (need to turn the mesh into a conform type under compound objects) but imo you're much more likely to get a better result with cloth if you tweak it right. Maybe specify whats wrong with what you got in cloth?

Yeah, cloth it. Then FFD it if you want to tweak after.

Blender has a pretty good shrink wrap option that I used for something similar once. Could be worth a shot.

I don't think condoms are designed to go on noses :)

If cloth isn't playing ball you could manually tweak what you have and morph it into the "skintight" stage.

Wrapit has a Relax Over Surface function ....

TiM-Scripts-Complete-543 has a "shrink wrap" feature (and it's free ;))
