nube Q on buying...
show user profile  STRAT
Guys, can you suggest the fastest off the shelf pc i can order or buy please? i'm in the UK.

Link or links will do, no need to describe options to me as i dont really understand specs. i just want to buy and go. so, within reason, what are my options for a nice super fast multi-core computer?

I've happily a couple'o'grand budget if needs be

thanks

Dell are pretty solid for a no fuss, off the shelf, plug it in, good to go deal.

Bit busy just now, but browse their "Desktop / All-in-One" section, can pick up an Alienware for ~1300. A few of them are low-ish on RAM but easy enough to source extra sticks from ebuyer.co.uk. Or wait for Stabby to give you the scoop :)

I've ordered custom systems from Scan and been happy with them in the past.

I've used Dino pc before and been really happy with the service. As has already been said you'll save some hard earned if you spec it and get someone like Dino to build to your spec. Their site is pretty good for custom builds.

somthing like this (just add your OS from the drop down menu - or add/change any other componants) http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/quotes/intel-2011-extreme/jpI5XzUytA/

Used them for my last 4 setups and they've all be great.

EDIT: You'll want to swap that 2nd Hard drive for a larger WD standard hard disc... did not mean to have two SSDs

and dont change any specs.
