Nouveau Bathroom

Hi guys,
I challenged myself to see what the best piece I could produce in one day was, whilst attempted photorealism - this was the result. I think the weakest part is the design - I basically just made it up as I was going along, and I think it shows. It was mainly a test of the shaders/rendering/lighting. This render took just over 1hr. There are parts where you can see the slightly low sample rates and whatnot, but I think it's OK.

Anyway, if anyone has any tips, suggestions, criticisms or questions, please do comment. It's the only way we all get better! Thanks.

Looks pretty good man, nice work. I think it could do with some perspective correction, looks a little odd to me. Also, The AA on the tap looks like it could do with more samples as you mention. :)

Other than the ceiling and perspective crash it's good.

I dig the mood.

3 different types of tile in one place is not my thing. And what's up with the ceramics up on the ceiling?

nice work

cool, I like it..

check the comments above and the aspect on the floor tiles would look better if square instead of the present, also, one type of tile is always better, two is fine, but three is a bit too much I'd say..

[edit] the tub seems a bit large (scale)
