New Website

I got so sick of my old and slow ass website, that I just threw together and uploaded a new temporary site tonight - Its nothing fancy, but it gets the point across - Is it still too slow? It pretty much looks like a website from 1998, ha. Cheers Guys -

Not slow! Clicking on the images didn't do anything though?

Yeah its 1998 though, looking at your site makes me worry about Y2K

Times new roman, very 1998 indeed!

If it was the aim to make sure the website itself didn't distract from the images, it worked ;)

Your home page seems unecessarily long for just a few side links.

But I just peed myself with amazement looking at those matte paintings.

Agreed with the paintings, want to see bigger images.
On the other hand, I've seen better banjo players :P

How did you do the area coords for the irregular thumbnails, by hand or is there a better way?

I like the website - plain and simple.

Agreed it's long for no real reason.

Stunning work on the website Alex. Seriously talented dude.

Like your photographs and read a little from your travels as well :)

I see what your trying to do with the basic look, but i think your crossing over from minimal to crap. The zero padding on the box at the top? Times new roman - with underlines on the links? Personally i don`t like the pic boxes either too random especially the black borders varying.. Making it look shit isn`t speeding it up any imo.. Understood tho u`v done this overnight.

Amazing work tho, i`d rethink the minimal, but still leave room to plaster those cg awards and credits somewhere they can be seen!

I want to click all those cool images and nothing works yet! Get on it! :)

horizon, there's simple softwares to do this where you drag out rectangles to get coords..

Thanks Guys - Yeah, Ill address those problems later this weekend. I didnt realize everyone hates newtimesroman so much :P

The underlines will go too dave - I dont really want those awards too visible tho - I think Ill take them off.

Personally, I don't give a damn about the website when the artwork is so good. As long as I can see the art I'm happy. If I can see the art whilst listening to banjo music, I'm even happier.

Love your paintings man.

OK, I changed it - I made it more minimalist, bigger illustration images, not so big on the home page, ..and yes...I changed the font to beautiful-swiss-helvetica.

Cheers Guys!!!!!
