it shouldn't need much in the way of stiching as it's multiple cams. can probably fix up with software.

360 hi-def beach volleyball vids with hot chicks. would sell loads.

I'm in the wrong industry :)

their visualizer looks crap & distorted. can do better than that. looks like they're mapping onto a cube.

What does that even mean? The basic fact that it's multiple cameras means that it needs stictching.

Also, the multiple cameras have exposed the picture at several levels. Look at the canyon shot, there are half a dozen different exposure settings used, you can clearly see every photo that it took.

Um, ok.

depends how precisely the cams are positioned.

normal stitching tries to figure out how different shots are positioned relative to each other. you already know as you have camera position info (relative to the others) so should be easier.

the exposure setting thing is something they can work on. it's a prototype.

it would. weigh one down & drop it underwater for 360 dolphin/whale volleyball if that's more your thing.

Apparently the viewer uses spherical projection. I think the FOV is just stupidly large.

It is a neat idea. I can think of many times when this would come in handy.
