new problem with splines

im trying to mimic a nurbs loft by converting splines into polys.... but now, when i convert, the middle spline wont cooperate. all the verts are welded so it should convert like the other tw, but its not for some reason and i cant finger it out...

For a planar closed spline, max can easily figure what's the inside and what's the outside. Not so if it's not planar.

What you're doing is closer to a patch operation anyway. For a loft (kind of), separate the parts in 3 spline objects (detach) and for each, delete both end segments, make sure the first vertices on the two spline sub-objects are on the same end, then use the connect and surface modifiers.
