New HD5870
show user profile  Thomas11juni
Hey all,

I've just got my new ATI HD5870 Sapphire vapor-x after sending another one back, because it was defect. But now I've a new one, and it's working. I just made a new movie with it to show how good my new graph card is. The FPS can be low sometimes because of fraps.

Link: Here.

I hope you like it. What card do you use?? IS this card worth for my money, I paid 339 euros????

Thomas.

The only useful information you could give would be to compare price paid compared to benchmark results (like cinebench). Also driver versions to other applications (other than max).

I don't think anyone really gives a shit about watching you drive pretend cars around in circles like a child.

first off, posting just so people will say omg i'm so jealous hardly works here. half the people don't care about games and don't need an uber graphics card and the other half have quadro's and other REALLY nice cards. (and like 12 gigs of ram)

secondly, that doesn't look very maxed, full AA? dx11 mode? might just be fraps killing resolution... but i get 60 ish fps with my 5970 on absolutely maxed in 2560x1024...

edit: also, fermi's more powerful for gaming (optimized strongly towards dx11) and the 5000 series just has more simple power, which is better for gpu renderers and stuff. pop open max 2011 and play with quicksilver, octane, or vrayRT if you want something the above people care for.
