Need to understand how this was created
show user profile  GirishDJoshi

Can you share how this was made. I got the video part of it, but how were the text layers worked on it.

Really inspired by this video, plan to create something similar.

Any help / all help welcome.

Just tracking 2D object/points, then attaching the images/animations - all in a compositor (probably after fx)

easy peasy

oh excuse me, there is some 3d tracking too, but its not great ;)

Mocha for AfterEffects ( i think it comes with version cs5 ) is really good for very quickly creating believable 3d tracking points from footage/clips.. I`d guess this whole thing was done within AE including colour grading etc..

Thanks guys.

I am just thinking on how the text element was added. Doesn't anyone have a tut link or something on this.

Text going behind the man, was the man shot on green or just cut and paste.

Reeves - :) if I look at lemongood's work, this video is peanuts :P

text going behind the man?.....nah...not greenscreening just for that.
rotoscope JUST the area the type goes behind.

again,....this is all basic stuff,...very well done design! But technique wise,...its all part of compositing 101.

Find some rotoscoping tut's.

Wow... creative cow is a great resource!
I always thought they are not free and used only videocopilot as a learning place.
