Need something like powerpoint but better

So I find powerpoint bad for presentations with fancy animations.

Looking for something that:
- can handle very large animated gifs and other videos well
- have good audio controls.
- have a portable viewer version

you know something built to make presentations like this:

Any ideas?

What version of PP are you using? I find 2013 works very well, well perhaps not for GIFs, but for videos and audio. What problems are you facing here?

FYI: Animated GIFs doesn't exactly sound like the proper ingrediens for a good presentation.

There is a viwer for PP,
or did you mean, by portable, that you want it to run on a USB stick without installing? Well I'm not sure if you can do that.

But if you put the presentation on OneDrive you can view (and even edit) it in any webbrowser with PowerPoint Online, it is free.

Well, I am using 2013.
Let's see, I could set the background music to stop after x slides but not fade out
My WMP gives me overexposed videos for no reason, reinstall and still the same
Some gifs have fps issues.
swf videos starts at whatever position i last exited from presentation mode.
i can't have videos play at the background, they cover the text box i overlayed despite being moved to the back.

2013 is good if you want those simple presentations with bullet points, word art, charts and transitions.
