need help on choosing cpu
i sold my amd phenom 1090t to a friend due to the amd bulldozer 8150p coming out but highly disapointed :( im really sick of amd keep failing so bad (although the 1090t did me justice) anyways im now going with intel and would like some good opinions just for rendering with vray.
i dont have too much money so on a reasonable price which still kicks ass and i want something that literally kills the amd 1090t for rendering.

just buy the most powerfull xeon hex you can, preferably dual.
Or if you're on on a weeny budget, go for i7.

there is nothing reasonably priced that would "kill" the 1090t in rendering, sandy bridge chips in the same price range and above are in fact slower for rendering. the closest thing to what you are looking for might be 3930K that launches in 2 weeks or so, its a 6 core SB that would provide you a solid 50% upgrade from what you had going on, however it will set you back $580 for the cpu and around $350 for the motherboard

what would the difference be with 2x xeon 5645's (total of 12 cores) compared to the 1090t (6 cores)
my kitchen scene with alot of lighting took 52 mins to render with my 1090t so how much roughly would 2x 5645's shade of the 52 mins
