Need Help for a Project
Hello everyone, I need slight help in a project for school. I'm making a globe mold for someone. Would anyone be able to tell me how to extrude continents off of a sphere. Thanks. :)

Yes, I have seen that one and I thought it would be extremely helpful. I'm pretty new to 3Ds Max, so I was wondering if you could explain it a little further. Is there a way to cut on the sphere, being able to see the profile you are cutting? When I cut it just seems to automatically slice stuff out. Thanks again.

I've figured it out now. :D
So can anyone tell me how to texture a map around it so i can just cut the profile? I need to make these continents really precise.

you could use a bump map, or use the same map and have an inner and outer sphere, and use the dfiffuse as an opacity.

One more question, Is there an easier way of extruding the profile you cut than by selecting each section of the polygon?
