Need advice for new computer
show user profile  B1GW1LL1E
ok so I'm looking to buy a desktop for use with 3ds max and zbrush not going to have games put on it at all, got an xbox for that. Can spend around £2000 for it.
Can anyone help with a custom build or a pc in production. Any advice will be appreciated as I have only ever had laptops.
Cheers in advance

what you can get right now is a run of the mill x79 setup (prices based on scan allthough if you check out for the components you'll probably save a few hundred pounds)

£200 p9x79
£460 3930k + £27 for a legal free pass to fry your chip if you like
£840 gtx titan
£160 32gb of cheapest 1600mhz ram 4x8gb
£50 random midtower case with a 2x140mm vent hole
£90 corsair h110
£100 850w silverstone strider
£120 240gb OCZ agility 3
£2020 excluding windows, ops.

if you wait a month or so though s1150 will be out which can save you around £300 at the cost of 10% cpu performance, you choose.
