Inxa: thanks! if your genuinely interested, try out the books by Andrew Loomis.... i have yet to find a better source for drawing in general. :) They arnt published anymore, and i think u should be able to find them online.

Markoid: thanks for the encouragement :) yeah the style tends to vary abit too much for my own liking haha :)

Mr nice: heheh, thanks! glad u like it... which movie btw?

Lomenn: thanks, and scroll down for more pictures..

time for 3d work hehe.

this first one is an old render i decided to revist today. yeah, its a mantis inspired mech thing...

Way back i was experimenting with cell shading in photoshop. basically involved grabbing a wireframe from the viewport, and then using various filters/general trickery in PS. was happy with the results.

Again an old experiment with wireframes.

Finnaly, some of you might remmember this one...it started off as an entry to a modelling competetion we had on this forum wayyyyy back...was later edited heavily in PS.

I love your images man. They are weird and colorful and full of fantasy. :)

But for some reason that 3d mantis mech is just my favourite. Im not into manga japanese robot things at all but that picture is just awesome. The lightfog, the slightly blurred view, the pose, the overbright eyes. The thing is just creepy! Very cool. :)

wow man i really like your stuff. the previous post has some pretty nice dramatic lighting on it. as a matter of fact you could say that you have a knack for making thing dramatic and interesting. good eye man. great idea of messing with the shaded facets in photoshop, it makes for a pretty cool pic. keep up the good work man.

That second pic, the flying parts with the headlight is fantastic. I first thought it was a humanoid robot, it has a head, arms a body... beautiful

_3dioot : thanks! Really glad u like the mech, i spent weeks on modelling and rigging it hahaha :) it started off as just a plain vray render, everything else (including the glowing eyes, blurrs, fog etc) were done in Photoshop...layers and layers and layers.

ubik19761 : thanks dude! i wanted to see how much i could get with black and white, without making it too graphic...hehe glad u like the dramatic side of it :)thanks for the encouragement :)

Seth : thanks man! the encouragment means alot : ) good to know that pic reads well.
