This is new to me but hoping some of you guys do this from time to time and know the score.

Got a fairly large video getting put together for a job and the clients came in at the last minute and said she'd like some music in the background, specifically 'Gassenhauer'

Where do you even start to look to see if you can use it or not and if it costs, how much?

The video itself is for a non-profit childrens hospital which may make a difference being non-profit, I dont know.

I had a quick look in some stock music sites but its not in any.

As I know you should ask the publisher , or the one who owns all of the copyrights .
Maybe they know , or they are :http://www.orff.de

Thanks for the help.

I always imagined that you just went to a site to buy it much like you do stock photgraphy or the likes.

the same as your stuff in the end, innit.

some is licensed thru turbosquid, etc.

other content, you have to go direct to the artist to ask what the deal is.

in some cases you'll be passed to another distributor, sometimes they'll deal direct, sometimes they're not interested. just ip law.
