Moving vertexes in meshsmooth

I was tinkering around with the mesh smooth, adjusting size and what not with the "Local Control" setting moving vertexes around. But now in the animation some of them doesn't stay put but instead moves as if indepentently. I checked the weighting in Skin and it's all attached to the same bone so it should stay put but it just don't.

How do I fix it without starting over with a new MeshSmooth modifier?

While those controls can be useful for stills, don't use them when animating: they just add to the complexity.
Use TurboSmooth instead (same as MeshSmooth set to NURMS, but faster) and adjust your sharpness/roundness with the topology.
