Morph targets

hi, i'm using 3ds max 2009 and i can't seem to get the morph targets to work.. i defined each mesh as a target but they don't work. i try moving the slider and the main mesh doesn't change.. any ideas??

does each mesh have same number of verts? they have to for morph targets to work. duno if that helps?

wow thanks for the quick reply.. yeah they should. i cloned them from the same mesh.. one thing, do they have to each be a edit poly? because i have each one as an edit poly with mesh smooth.. should i make them just edit polys?

Yes, the targets shouldn't have any subdivision.

you should just be able to collapse the modifier stack to edit poly

You can always model the clones underneath the meshsmooth modifier then delete it when you are done.
