Modelling Wednesday
show user profile  herfst1
This is just a thread starter, I wanted to think of some object that would have many different ways to solve and see who could come up with the most unique method *cough* Garp *cough*.

I'm sure there will be much better objects to do than this one (if this thread doesn't die an instant death). Also cool modelling tricks can go in this thread.

Anyway, let's see if this takes flight:

It might help in the future if you use images instead of a photobucket video.

Cool idea though, works for both abstract and non-abstract meshes.

couldn't be arsed to come up with any inventive way so i guess this is the baseline

made an L shaped line starting from 0,0 , made renderable, clicked on 'rectangular' and enable in viewport, adjusted the length and width of the line, used fillet on the middle vert, added an edit poly mod, shift rotated 90' to make a clone- deleted the line from the middle vert to 0.0, shift rotated 90' to instance 2 more, attached them all together, shift rotate to make the other struts, added light green material, added a skylight, adjusted settings, added a floor and rendered

Cool, K-tonne.

Though, in actuality your method is fairly complicated compared to mine.

P.S. Scotty, I swear I made my thread first. Oh well, may the best thread win.

P.P.S. I know of a cool way to do your bubbles. I might do it later today.
