Thats done with just maps. The ridge is modeled , the actual tiles are just with diffuse and bump/displace. Easy once you have the roof mapped.

Yeah mapping is what I have done.

Wanted to make it look more real.

Funnily Enough I just done some yesterday but i simply modelled it as it would be, and used boxes.

Hey Inxa, check out Batzal Roof Designer. Or if ur tight on budget, I'd do it as an arrayed mesh and sliced to the roof planes. With capping done similar

Yes of course you could do it with boxes, if you can deal with the poly count, that would make it more real than just a displace/bump. Ahh it's you Inxa, I forgot about our identity shift :)

I completed it with textures, deal done :) The displacement did give a good look to it.

Modeling was taking quite sometime. Can say acted a bit lazy.

Davious - lol, no I am new to Mf and I am from the US :P
