Populate panels....

I've just been using it on a Climbing Wall project, it's pretty much select object, select distribution object, click, tweak, done.

Slight thread hijack. Is the climbing wall project your working on in the public domain? I climb and i'd be interested to see it and the process you go through to design one?

Bloody hell Garp. I opened the video and saw 1:45 and thought, "alright, so he's not going to be making the whole thing in that time, I wonder what he's going to be doing." 1 minute 45 seconds later... shit.

I've never even seen the "create selection sets" box before. Nor seen that split button. You have to make more of those Jings, I learn so much from them.

The overall form itself is pretty simple. Create a sphere, delete first couple of poly loops, select open edge, shift-drag then scale and rotate, shift-drag and scale and rotate again..

If you want the overall saggy sortof bouyant appearance that it has, would be worth looking into the cloth tools once you have the basic shape down.

Nice work as always Garp!

@Lazmo67 : I'll let you know when I find out, I won a contest, the proposal was to come up with a design/sketch idea to win $80 then develop to completion for an hourly rate, I'm waiting on the handover process to complete.

@Garp : You is a plugin :)

@ yossioren113 : do what Garp does, but at 0.15 grab the middle ring using soft selection and scale in, you should be able to figure out the rest.

That is pretty damn cool Garp. But all the cylinders/tubes are uniform in your model. In the ref pic, they are all randomly squashed..

Terribly boring signature.

That's dictated by the topology. The method to turn the polys into cylinders is the same.
