Looking for a modeler for Arch Vis project
show user profile  cdc02254
I am working on a project in which we require some high quality architectural renderings and animations internal and external of a building.

Must be 3ds MAX

The project will kick off shortly (15/7/2015).

The candidate needs to be a Public Limited Company and willing to work through official channels.

This is a very high profile project and will require someone willing to put in some hours and be very reactive to my requests.

Separately I am also looking for someone to make physical models for the project.

Please contact me if you are interested on the following e-mail address :-

I'm not VAT registered and have limited architectural experience but I am a capable 3D generalist. I'd be grateful if you took at a look at my portfolio (click logo below) and consider me for appropriate future projects.

Well, VAT for the main gig, freelance for the rest of it. I'm fine with that, already sent an email to that effect.

New EU legislation slapped digital content with the 20% VAT some time last year. IIRC

I don't think that's relevant for work for hire type stuff like this. Could be wrong though.

OK, just checked with my accounts department and VAT registered is not a requirement but Public Limited Company is.

I am preferably looking for someone that uses 3DS Max so we can use the models and make tweaks at a later date if required.

I am not an accountant but....

I believe because of the IR35 rules many businesses will avoid using freelancers who are set up as sole traders because it puts the liability on them if it's later determined the relationship is actually employer/employee. As this can be a very grey area many businesses decide that it's easier to just avoid sole traders all together.

It's PLC for us too when we bring in contractors. It's a pain, but as BBR said, thats the way it is! :)

If any of the guys who are looking for some work here want to fire me a CV too, i might have a project coming up soon that will require more 'hands on deck' than my team can handle currently.
