mitsubishi evo x continued...
show user profile  Bolteon
so, error had to one up me... so i've got to return the favor. found some time to get back with this and add some things and tweak others.

vimeo killed most all of the detail in the video but it's a good preview.

Nice! But for the record, I did my EVO tests like 5 months ago ;-) I still think that ground just doesn't look right, is it cracked dirt or something?

you haven't seen what I've got planned for my next evo render :-D

lets just say it involves some tracking, our 2nd floor lobby, and a powerslide ;-)

wewt link works now, good work man, I like it a lot, but 2nd error on that the ground looks funky and not as real as the rest of it.

probably not for a month or so, I'm gonna be busy for the next few weeks at least, on jobs here at work. Not sure when things will slow down enough for me to do more test work. Slammed with superbowl stuff right now

Can we have this be the next round of the tournament? I would love to see what Grotey, Markoid, and some of the others could come up with. My own contribution might be a box with some cylinders doing a power slide on Oprah's couch.

Looks good. I kind of like the lights more than anything. Keep it up.

Which rendering system.

Hey Bolts one question with lwf.

How do we save the animation sequence. I am trying a animation with vray phy camera, sun and sky and lwf. For a still we do save it as exr and then work on it with PS, atleast I use PS for the moment.

What format do we save each frame of the animation and which software is good for working on the gama and later on working on the movie like joining various camera animations, color post e.t.c.

my recomendation would be to output to exr and then pull those into a compositing program and output a video from there, currently there's no video format that supports lwf.

personally i use nuke for compositing and effects, though after effects may be more useful in other situations.
