show user profile  felix1234
Hey,i have been looking through some tutorials and wanted to learn to make fire, found this onehttp://www.tutorialized.com/view/tutorial/Realistic-Fire-with-3D-Studio-Max/22409.
i seem to be missing the wind-binding WSM though in my modifers list, what with that? is there somewhere i can download it of something?

wsm stands for world space modifier, they can be found in the top right tabs next to helpers.
so select space warps/forces/ wind.

It must be there, you just overseen it :-)

Wind is where flyboy said under the 'space warps' tab.
You won't get wind binding wsm to show in the stack until you bind your parray (parray for fire???) to it.

[EDIT] I actually looked at that tut and parray is just fine... good tut and quite good looking fire.

At this point I'd suggest opening max help. Use "Wind Space Warp" and "binding, to space warp" as your keywords. As first step is to create the wind space warp, but in order for it to have any affect - you'll have to "bind it" to particle system / geometry / etc.
Rgds,
Timo
