Im convinced now that i have a virus of some sort.
unless this was coincidental, as microsoft word crashed, MICROSOFT APPARENTLY rang me up asking questions saying they had "error warnings" showing up at their end.
is this suspicious?
if it IS a virus, how can i fix word as i have a LOT of improtant documents it just WONT let me print as it crashes.
norton 360 is doing sod all as usual
thanks again

This is a common scam to get your personal details. I hope you told them to get lost immediately. This 100% has nothing to do with your computer.

Copy your docs to the cloud or you will end up losing them. Stop using Norton and install MSE and

And, as a side note, when you download some porn, and it's an .EXE, for the love of god DON'T RUN IT!

Don't use IE. Use noscript and AB+ on Chrome.

He knew you had a problem, because his malware caused it.
It causes some sort of issue, and somehow gets your information in order to call you.

So scan for malware, and change your passwords.

Terribly boring signature.

Another important step is to make sure you create a windows user account and use it for your main daily work. Never use the Administrator account on a daily basis. In this way you can prevent many bits of malware installing themselves without your knowledge. Also you can usually recover your system much more easily if you get a virus or a corrupted install.
