Hey gang,

Just uploaded this, one shot from an otherwise unfinished project, got far on this shot though and why let it go to waste, breakdown that fella and then a watchable thing rather than just 5 seconds :)
Hope it's of some interest! TA

That's pretty sweet. Great to see how it's put together as well. Ace.

A few questions tho :)

Did you object-track that mug and the stone?

How did you make it "invisible"? Only by creating a mask (pure white for the mug) and using material from the empty scene (still from the sequence) ?

Thanks guys!

NLGFX > The black and white pass in the video contains a pass of a rendered 3d pot which I tracked manually in 3d, with the hand roto cut into it.

So I manualy built tracked that pot so that I could get the movement from as well as using it as a matte which I then touched up in 2d.
The invisble pass is that black and white pass used as a matte to switch between the proper plate and say you say a still from the sequence to cover any overlaps. Again some more roto after to fill in any gaps ;)

Thanks guys.
Luima : Yeah it was a simple short one, but I wasn't happy with it as I didn't think most other shots worked as well as this one did. So I cancelled on that but tried to not let this one go to waste!
