Mental Ray Textured Glass
I have spent the last few hours trying to replicate the textured glass in this picture:
Unfortunately, my efforts were still miles away from looking anywhere near the actual thing.
I was wondering what methods people might suggest to get a glass material looking like the one in the picture?
(Just so you know, the glass in the picture is not smashed, it's a sort of frosted pebbled texture)
I am using Mental Ray.

displacement map (maybe a combination of cellular + smoke) for the pebble-dash-like bubbles
diffuse color pure black (you can tint your glass under the fog colour once everything else is set up)
in the reflection put a falloff map from black to white (set to FRESNEL,
everything has fresnel!
IOR set to around 1.4
refraction max depth 7
decrease refract (under glossiness) as desired (lower = more frosted, sort've).
same again with reflect - you want the reflections to have very little sharpness...
(it's been a while since I've done this, so might be wrong)

How would I get the desired effect with cellular?
When applied to displacement map it sort of goes a bit crazy.
Sorry about this, texturing isn't something I normally do.
