Mechanical keyboards.
show user profile  Sangre
A lot of people swear by their mechanical keyboards which makes me feel like I'm missing out on something. I like the chiclet keyboard that I'm using right now, probably because I've used my laptop as a daily drive for a long time. Usually I don't type a lot but I often use the ctrl+shift+alt+some letter key combinations that seam to work better on a flat keyboard. Also I play some non competitive video games every now and then.

Anyway, what keyboards you think work best for modeling\image editing software? I don't know where I could try out a mechanical keyboard before ordering it.

mechanical keyboards are nice, but I wouldn't recommend buying one and putting it in an office if there are other people around you lol... they can be quite loud

but they feel amazing, i love thems

as for which keyboards work best? anything with dedicated macro keys are a win... then you can just assign your ctrl+shift+alt+some letter to a single key

For April fools I was going to borrow my friends mechanical keyboard and bring it into the office (I am a very aggressive typist). Never got around to it though sadly enough. :/ NEXT YEAR!
