| Mech object system and it's controllers, need help!! |
BRG#! |
There's folowing object system: red cone, blue lifting object and green binding between cone and lift. All of this objects are connected with each other with the help of hinges (cicrcles on the picture). The task is - evenly to lift cone to its vertical position moving lift only up and left (and then to return cone to horizontal position ). Cone is connected to the ground in a place marked with circle (it's his Pivot Point), so cone is rotation around this point. Blue lift can be moved either up or left (and down-right on the wy back). So his trajectory is smthg like staircase.
Lift raises the cone through green binding, which is moving right-left round hinges and has certain max\min angle of deviation.
Please help me, how to do such an animation?! Perhaps I should bind moving parts and assign to some trajectories or ..? I have no idea in controllers, so don't know what to apply..
The pic is here:

Ever get the feeling someone got a school assignment and is asking someone to do it for them?

You know what after that cynical comment I fancied doing it anyway :)
Heres a quick video to show you...
http://screencast.com/t/uWQmwck9
All you have to remember is to change the pivot points of the red triangle to the center of the circle on the left, and change the pivot point of the yellow rectangle to the center of the circle above it.
then you link them in order as shown then select the highest circle then go animation-->IK solvers-->HI Solver and click on the left circle, then thats it! done!

Big thanks for the answers, now going to try :))
btw: it's not a school task.. I just simplified the model, during my attemts to make it work :)

here i uploaded to photobucket for you, your site doesnt seem to like direct linking
havent got a shaded view have you? cant really tell whats going on. although due to the lack of mesh lines, it does seem to be a spline drawing

Thanks :) Heh ^_^ the view was set to "bounding box" :)
There's nothing to be proud of, I just needed an animation to support IT based learning in rigging works and arrangement :) So that part:
ps: Sorry, that I had to blur :)
