Maxscript Question - mass texture baking
show user profile  SamQuayle
Basically we have created a 3d town using ink and paint materials. we're now trying to export it for use in virtools, the problem lies with ink and paint, its not compatible with virtools and has to be a standard texture. When you render to texture on an ink and paint material the target map slot does not allow you to transfer it to a standard texture, instead it remains and an ink and paint slot.

What we've been doing so far is to texture bake an object, then take the rendered image from the ink and paint slot and drag it to a new material diffuse map and reapply it. this will then successfully export and work within virtools however it means we'd have to do this process for each individual object and that would take far too long.

We need some sort of script that will allow us to automate this process although i have little knowledge of maxscript and wonder if anyone knows what i should do?
