MAx version help

So I just got a new computer and I'm a student so I use student max.
Should I install the current version I'm using ( 11 ), install Max 9 instead ( many of you say it's the most stable) or go to 2013?

Personally I'd always go for the latest release.

2011 is my personal preference, i'd use 2014 but its still tad too crashy, waiting for service pack -.-

max 9 is my favourite. it's the last fast, stable version of max & is compatible with win 7/8.

2008 wasn't so stable, then they turned on rtti & it got sloooooooooooooooooow.

great move. max started going downhill after version 9.
