I can no longer move things with my move tool; it doesn't show the X,Y,Z things so I can move points around. How do I fix this?

And before I forget I also want to load back the the default UI how do I do this in max 9?

... HOW long have you been a member here!?

I don't have Max 9, but (from reading posts here!) I think you can locate it in the "My Documents" folder... or maybe it was "Documents and Settings".... or that could be 2008. Just search for a "3dsmax.ini" and delete it.

C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USER\Local Settings\Application Data\Autodesk\3dsmax\9 - 32bit\enu\3dsmax.ini

you need to have "view hidden files and folders" turned on on Control Panel/folder options

EDIT: I'd do Kajico's way first thou, if there is still something wrong, do this.

Get off your high horse Dave, I just recently started using 3ds max 9; Before I had been using 7 so I was not certain where to find it; also I haven't had to do it for so long that I actually forgot.

Thanks guys though.

High horse? Because I read/learn information as it gets posted, regardless of whether or not I need to? I simply find it very weird, that a regular such as yourself has not come across the hundreds of threads where people have had your problems solved.

Just weird, is all.

Dave thats a bit harsh, its very easy to forget stuff in max if you stop using it for a while and this forum is frequented by a few people that stopped using max a long time ago.

It can't be harsh for me to find it weird. I'm not calling him stupid... i'm just saying that I FIND IT WEIRD.

I dont think dave ment it like that, I think he was mainly referring to the Gizmo questions, as that gets questioned/answered every couple of days on the forum.

right?
