Max animation -> Flash
show user profile  shaytheduck
Quick questions.

I have an animation of a logo in 3DS MAX.
Around the sides of the logo needs to be transparent.
The animation needs to be shown in a flash document.

I would like to know how to render it in 3ds max, take it over along with transparentcy into flash and save the document in flash.

Can i render as png's with a alpha layer and take them into flash?

Thanks for everyone who helps or even reads this.

regards

I think you can just save its as png, with a white background. ------------------------------------------------------------------------

I prefer to use Targa and bring in the image sequence to After Effects.

Yes you can use a png sequence.

You can also encode flash videos (FLV) with transparency, which can help with file sizes.

One method to do this is, render to quicktime using the animation codec at 100% quality.
Select "Millions of colors+" in the options to include the alpha channel in the video.

Then use flash video converter or video import from flash to create the FLV file.

Hi
You can render it directly to flash with thishttp://www.erain.com/products/swift3d/.
Otherwise it takes a bit of messing around unfortunately. I usually just go along with the image sequence then arrange the frames in flash as mentioned above.

yup, done this before. Image sequence may take some time and become tedious to assemble in flash however gives you most control.
