4. Accelerate modeling and texturing tasks: with new tools that extend the Graphite modeling and Viewport Canvas toolsets: A revised toolset for 3D painting and editing textures within the viewport; the ability to paint with object brushes to create geometry within a scene; a new brush interface for editing UVW coordinates; and an interactive tool for extending edge loops.
_____________________________________________________________________________
5. Viewport display of 3ds Max materials:
Develop and refine scenes in a high-fidelity interactive display environment—without the constant need to re-render— with the new ability to view most 3ds Max texture maps and materials in the viewport.
_____________________________________________________________________________
6. 3ds Max Composite:
Enhance rendered passes and incorporate them into live action footage with 3ds Max Composite: a full-featured, highperformance,HDR-capable compositor, based on technology from Autodesk® Toxik™ software.

From what I gathered at the XBR webinars, they'll be trying to integrate pflow/fluids/smoke/reactor/cloth and all the other disparate systems into one unified dynamics engine but I presume it'll eb a release or two away yet if it does materialise.
Anyhoo, here's some videos:

I was kinda' hoping that iRay would be integrated.
Still, it's nice to see much more development of the core than in previous releases.

I hope the Save to Previous Version actually works. I can start to export models from 2010 to older versions for sale on TurboSquid.

I'm hoping the performance issues with 2010 are all gone then. Sure its nice new features, but if it doesn't get back up to speed on performance then i'd rather stick with 2009. At least for modeling.
I be parrrrlaygons, me hearties! http://www.Freds3D.com

I agree with the performance issue, but I love the chromium modelling tools!
