this tutorial is howing me how to texxxtre but i dont know how to make a reflection map like these

this is the texture im using

i assume im using photoshop, if you could can ut ell me how to make a spec and gloss map

looks ike a metal so it's all going to be light reflective- which means it's all needs to be a lightish colour
the scratches should probably be more reflective to light and as so should be lighter than the unscratched metal
in photoshop:
ctrl+ shift to desaturate (makes it black and white)
ctrl + L to adjust the levels- whiter is more spec in this case
shouldn't take too much adjusting though as it's already pretty much a specular map as it is

ok, another question, i unwrapped the model and now all the checkers squares are equal and stuff, i exported the map put all the texture where they belong, save it but when i apply that map to a diffuse on the object it just does the whole map and everything is not in the right place, wat am i doing wrong?

kinda like this, i exagerated it a lil for show, but the shapes on the map never line up

Err... you've just applied a UVW Mapping modifier on top, with the mapping type set to face. This makes your unwrap completely redundant.

Are you just mapping a metal texture to that roof object? You don't need to unwrap it, it's simple enough to just tile a texture across it with planar mapping similar faces, unless you're hoping to bake some AO into the diffuse or somethin' somethin'
