Making this shoe.

Hi all,

I am working on that project, and i have to make some items of my own from splines. I wanted to make this shoe. - Ive got the spline drawing done but i dont know what modifier to use to achieve the result. (ive tried lathe, extrude etc etc they all look weird)

Heres the photo of the actual boot.

I drew it in splines, and i drew the heal in splines. But i am not sure what i can do. If anyone can help me. Normally i would obviously make this out of mesh primitives. But it has to be splines. (this is my screen with the spline drawing of the boot)

Personally, I'd start with a cube and use rough poly editing to get the shape and mesh-smooth to produce a better end result.

Oh, and remove the s from https in your links and they will be clickable.

are you talking about a cube spline? Because it has to be made of splines and then adding those things as modifiers?

Sorry, I didn't realise you had to do it only from splines.

Make the cross sections of the various parts and put a skin modifier on them to make them a solid shape.

I am pretty sure Nik did not mean to say skin modifier... maybe surface modifier.

I think he meant the dermal modifier...
