make 2d

Hi All ,
i have aproject that modeld in 3dsmax and i want to take the front or slice and make it 2d to autocad layouts does someone know how to do that..
in rhinceros there is make2d plugin that do that if someone know how can i do that in 3dmax ?

there's probably a much faster way, but this is all I Can think of at the moment.

Slice modifier, select edge loops and make into a spline. Then export to AutoCAD dwg format.

thats a good one thanks!!. but what can i do with all the object that i see after the section..?
any suggestion ?

Not sure I understand correctly.

If you create splines from the selected edge loops, then that should be all you need. Once the splines are okay, then delete everything else and save as a new file. When you export to DWG you should just be exporting splines.

I'm sure the file will require a lot of tidying up - processes like that are never straightforward. I admit that I've never tried that exact workflow, but I can't see any problem with it in principle.
