Any here using/used it or have any opinions? We're looking for a plugin that can do that sort of thing and that looks 'cheap' and pretty decent.

Thanks mate, thats what I originally looked at but the cost of MadCar is a fraction of the Craft tools.

I guess that was what I remember watching you using for the virtual driving you did for the movie 2012?

Craft animation is good but I think my computer doesn't have enough ram or something, I followed a 3ds tutorial made a 1x1km landscape using some plugin (I forget the name) and tried it out and it only ran about 1 frame every 45 seconds before crashing my computer. Been meaning to try it out again on a smaller scene.

Max doesn't like running out of ram. Not at all. Makes it go a bit pear shape, so could be your cause.

Yep, think you're right. I've only got 8 gigs. I think the amount of poly's the car drives over, and the amount of height variation is also a factor but I haven't tested that theory out yet.

Yeah our studio got craft. The camera stuff in there is also awesome!

Also I had to rig a tank with it for an animation. It was a bit tedious to get the tracks to work right on terrain but it ended up great in the end!

So imo craft is the best way to go!
