Loft problem.... help ffs
show user profile  del3d
Sometimes I'm amazed with what I can do in 3dsmax and sometimes I want to take the fucking thing and trash it out the window. In the amount of time that I have just wasted I would have probably built the fucking thing by hand with bells and whistles and shiny red cherries on top, possibly a couple of fronats in between.
I have a shape. I want it lofted along a spline. I have no clue how to make it the way I want it. I want my extrusion to be three dimensional and the fucking thing just plasters it flat along the spline.. There is so much hate I have towards the loft objects it is obscene.. Check the vid, please:

Help! Please! Somebody! I believe it should be obvious what I'm after.

And to add some color to this thread other than cursings here's what I'm working on. It's a beauty salon. The Owner is Susan Sarandon's personal hair stylist. How about that!

the space between the chairs seems a bit narrow for a working space...
but nice render anyhow.

You bet. Welcome to nyc and ridiculous rents for tight commercial spaces. Place is existing. We are doing what we can. Diagonal arrangement should help employees move around.

Nice render. What's the boxy object in bottom left foreground though?

looks like a very uncomfortable waiting-area sofa to me.

Nice render :)

thanks! it's just a place holder for future lounge seating.
This render is in a "study" phase. I may work on it some more later or I may not, depending what the client is looking for. Currently, I'm focusing on the rear area of the space. I'll post some more views if there is something ok to look at.

hey fucker. uhm.. kinda non-stop. A lot of it is more of a design aid than top notch illustrations and I'm ashamed to post them here as finished art ;) I finally switched to LWF after your numerous rants. A lot of things actually get easier and quicker.
You gonna be around town anytime this century?
