Line for sweep modifier
I am trying to make this thing using sweep modifier, using a rectangle and a line but every time i pick path for the line its ends goes out side not inside like the pic. Any idea how to draw a line to get a shape like this. Actually i m modeling a stuff like this many times some are small some are so big so rather than scaling and moving vertices i would like to draw a rectangle and then use sweep modifier

There are options in the sweep modifier to rotate the cross-section and also flip it.

The internal and external radii of those corners are the same for each part so this object has been made with sharp corners then filleted, cant be done like that with the sweep modifier. That would have ever increasing radii from the centre outwards.

If your doing this many times in your workflow check out Sweep Profile ...you can create you own presets.
Easiest way to get that shape is by making a rectangle spline shape and adjusting the corner radius before you sweep, or like mrgrotey said, fillet the corners of a sharp cornered rectangle.
