Maxunderground news unavailable

light material

Since the new max and materials and stuff i have no ideea how to make a material that sheds light.

Searching through the material library I found a standard material that does this.. light bulb, but it renders like woth no aa

and the light is a little rough as well.

Has anyone got any ideea how to fix this? I looke don google but didnt manage to find anything usefull.

If you have vray (2.40 or higher, I believe), they have a self-illumination option in the vraymtl.

I know mental ray has a few options (but I'm hazy on that).

Also hazy on Corona (haven't played with it properly) but I doubt they don't have an illumination material. I'd try it out, it's free.

In mental ray, use an A&D material with Self-illumination and the option "Illuminates the Scene (when using FG)" ticked as well as turning on final gather in the render rollout.

In Corona, use the CoronaLightMTL to emit light to the scene.

Thanks alot for replies, since i only have acces to mr atm A&D material works for me and it does so great!
