show user profile  alexandriareene
I am a new max user, i am taking a class at college for fun. We are learning spline modeling.

I am using this tutorial to do something we haven't learned in class. We learned basics of spline modeling but i went a head and learned more. Just wondering .. I watch this tutorial

i did everything like this guy, but when he drew the top of the hat when he connected the line together, he subdivided the line in 3 divisions. I am not able to subdivide and im doing the same things he is. My divide tool is grayed out. I was trying to figure this out can anyone help?

Are you in segment mode? If not, the function won't be usable.
Is the segment selected? If not, the function won't have a target.

Thanks That helped. I realized i wasnt in segment mode, to subdivide the section, i didnt end up using the sub-divide for the line it made my Topology look strange. So i just went with what i had.
