It Follows

Watch this film. Great horror. Not gory, not many jump scares but quite creepy. Hot female lead (who can act), killer direction and soundtrack. 10/10.

I'm a fan of Disasterpeace since the awesome FEZ soundtrack, and started listening to this. I thought it was for a game until a couple of days ago, when I discovered it's a movie =) I'm going to see it but I have no idea what it's about. Surprises ftw!

That looks to be one hell of an STD.

Yep, the film's based on that metaphor.

Really want to see this. The other film I watched that I thought was really good was the Babadouk.

^Babadouk looked creepy. It's on my to-see list.

The Babadook (which is an anagram, fyi) is more frustrating because of the kid. It Follows is more oppressive, like a nightmare where you're stuck in mud [edit] though, not scary, just makes you tense.

Glad you liked it Khamski. The greatest piece of horror IMO that's ever recorded was the hallway scene in The Shining, and It Follows gave me a similar vibe (though not the same level, obviously, Krubrik owns cinema).

Other good new movies I can recommend:
John Wick
The Raid 2 (and the Raid 1)
The Kingsman
Edge of Tomorrow (or, All You Need Is Kill, as it was originally titled).
Ex Machina (as mentioned in another thread)

I don't know. I watch the movie and it was alright. Half of me really wants to say it was stupid, but the other half of me was very intrigued by the type of suspense used. Something totally different and unique so that alone would make it a solid move.

Dialog was short and slow. I almost turned it off half the way though because it was just dragging on. Worth the watch though, thanks for the recommendation.

Of course this movie is far from the highest league.
But I like movies.
If movie has something i like it.
It can be awesome montage, vivid characters, original idea, sparky cg, just an atmosphere that was created... the mood...
Its very very very rare that movie is good in every aspect so i learned to like their best parts.

@ Krause, no problem. Movies are subjective. Hell, I love Drive (similar soundtrack, slow pace) and know people who hate it. Guess I just like retro more than modern.

^For sure man. It was good. Something really unsettling about the lack of immediate danger, but something slowly coming for you. haha.

If any of you are into Zombie films, I'd check out "The Battery". Low budget as fuck, but awesome. Shot with a 5D and some duct tape, haha.

Not action-y. More character relationship driven. Slow at times, but I got a kick out of it.

Watching it now. Ben rocks! )))) What a character.

Music is awesome. Listening to OST.

I found myself wanting a damn sequel.
