The extrude tool is going to be your closest bet out of the box (I think).

Edit: Also, this is a forum based around 3ds max. So please keep this in mind when posting questions about Maya... All learning is good learning, but I know I try and keep my Maya specific questions to a minimum here.

Ohh, I see bro. I didn't want to post it until it goes wrong here. From now, I wont post anything related to maya here. But, where can I find a best forum for maya like this? Cause you brothers are so helpful. Anyways. Thanks.

Nooo dude. You didn't get what I was saying. This isn't a 3ds max only forum, but it's based around 3ds max. So if you have a complex, advanced maya question, then I would say post away!

There are a lot of very smart, talented people on this forum from a lot of different backgrounds in software, programming and clown pornography (LionDebt). There isn't some rule that states that if it's outside of the realm of 3ds then don't post about it.

On the same note though, if you start posting things like, "What is the hotbox? How does the attribute editor work? How do I construct materials in the Node editor?" I guarantee people will be short with you.

Hell, I ask Maya questions on here to from time to time, but I try to stick with general 3d questions when I do and not Maya specific ones (so a different way to put it is that I will ask a question about theory and then do the technical leg work in Maya by myself. If that makes sense).

Check out-

for a Maya forum! Same goes over there too, if you start posting up a slew of 3ds max questions, I'm sure people are going to start shitting on you about it after a while.

I'm coming from a good hearted place man. Not trying to shew you out of MF by any means.

Nope, bro. I'm not saying that you were rude with me. I know you all are good hearted here. But,I got that advanced things get priority on advanced things right? And Liondebt makes 3D porns? lol.. I know that some people here are working 30 years or so in 3d industry. So,obviously they knows almost everything or may be everything. I got that things must be logical obviously.

I like to use a very high thickness property when I'm programming my clown pornography.
