is there any way to do this?
I have this object which is wrapped around a deforming object using skinwrap. i found that only the faces are moving, but not the pivot of the wrapped object. so i cannot use it to link another object to it. is there any way i can move the pivot of the wrapped object with it?

Either linking both wrapped object and deforming object to a common parent/helper-object and using that as a basis for transforms/animation or you could try just linking the wrapped object to the deforming object ( not sure if max`d like that ).. if i get your meaning..

not the pivot but you can use surface constraint to follow the movements of the wrapping object faces
