Ah well looks like she aint getting a pressy...I aint buying everything over again.
Although when i think about it, she has a real old ipod before touches or anything were about and she can sync that to my itunes, but the difference is that it only applies to music cause it doesnt have apps.

To be honest, I'm not sure about the apps. It may be possible to get round it. Others will have a better idea. Although I have two iPods, I never use them and my wife and kid have them.

Do the family members use the same itunes account or do they have different accounts on different computers?
The way mine is set up at the moment is its one itunes program but two libraries and i can just drag and drop music from one to the other, but Ive no idea if the same works for apps as i dont fancy buying two of everything.
Cheers for the help

Off topic but no point creating a new thread, whats this crap on itunes where to get a song you have to buy an album? Maybe ive just been lucky but i havent came across it then the other day my wife told me she bought an album for a song, then i went to buy a song today and sure enough it would only allow me to get the album. Screw that.
I like my apple products and itunes usually but not keen on that.

apps transfer over to all ipod touches and iphones just not the music or piccys. my itunes share all my apps for ipad, iphones and my kids ipod touches with no issues and there are other apps like double twist that will copy music from ur iphone etc onto another computer
edit: the only time apps will not transfer over is when you are using another itunes account than the one they were bought with so just share the same itunes account and ur fine

Strange. I use one iTunes acount with both iPods. Only the songs will transfer on the two, not the apps.

I suck at iTunes. I think you should ignore my comments.
I can program in assembly, but I can't operate iTunes. Derp.

all i did was make sure that when u plug the new ipod touch into the comp is to make sure the apps sync is set up for it i can select which gets put onto the kids touches. also any app bought on the phone intunes just gets transferred over to the comps itunes when it asks ( while syncing) we have 5 devices and all have the same apps from the one account with no issues
